Hello,
I have a MacBook Pro mid-2009, my OS X is up to date, as well as the version of Handbrake.
I used to use Handbrake to rip DVD's but since several months it doesn't work properly.
I can launch Handbrake and initiate the process without any problem ; but the output = the files generated by the process (.m4v, .avi, or others) are like "corrupted" (jerky reading of the file, frozen image).
What do you think could be the pb ? anything to do with the superdrive ? How to solve it ?
Pierre

Like HandBrake tells you the first time you try to open a dvd-video, it doesn't remove the copy protection. So you have to use another app like MakeMKV or whatever to remove it.

Handbrake is unable to process DVDs nor Blu-ray discs that have DRM, which is most likely why your output is unusable. Its is possible to make this work correctly:

Much better off using MakeMKV than those hacks.
