Unable to extract archived update in MacOS?

Whenever I attempt to update to the latest version of HandBrake I get a dialog that states the following error:

Update Error!
An error occurred while extracting the archive. Please try again later.

I've tried several times 'later' but am still getting this error.

Any ideas why?

I'm running:
macOS Sierra
Version 10.12.3

Unfortunately the built-in updater in HandBrake 0.10.5 doesn't work on macOS 10.12, you need to download the new versino manually from handbrake.fr
