Handbrake for Mac corrupting webm file and produces error when I try to install update

Post by magentawave »

I am having two problems here.

1) CORRUPT WEBM FILE WHEN PLAYED ON FF FOR MAC:
When I click on a webm video file on my desktop it opens a page in Firefox and plays fine. When I compress that same webm file in Handbrake it won't play in Firefox and there is a message that says: "Video can't be played because the file is corrupt." You can see that here: https://www.evernote.com/l/Ag6EJyU-jIdE ... Zdu_9mBD68 However, if I open the exact same compressed web4 file in Chrome it works fine. Can someone please tell me why it says the file is "corrupt" in Firefox but everything is fine with Chrome?

2) HANDBRAKE WON'T LET ME UPDATE: When I try to install this update https://www.evernote.com/l/Ag7n5cL7vfxL ... NmR3Leb3gA I get this error https://www.evernote.com/l/Ag4Mixt6rgBO ... WXsLMd0Mjo

Thank you.

I'm using Handbrake 6509svn x86_64 (2014110901) on a Mac 10.9.5

Try downloading something current, either the release or the nightly, from the website.

Update via the website. Your using an old nightly build. Nightly builds don't have auto-update fully enabled.

I didn't know that about nightly builds. Thank you!
