Resolve exported DnXHD 36 into handbrake... possible?

Post by Mega Maniac »

Hello,

A quick (hopefully) question.

I understand handbrake supports both MXF and DnXHD, but it will not read DnXHD 36 files MXF wrapped out of resolve.

These files would initially not read in Compressor or AME until Calibrated{Q} trial was installed.

All Avid codecs installed.

Anyone got any definitive answer on this one?

Installing external codecs won't have any impact on HB, it doesn't use external codecs.

I see, so no chance of changing anything then.

Any idea why HB will read both some DnX and MXF but not in this particular case?

Hi,

Handbrake uses the "libav" library for decoding source videos. Thus, you should ask your question there (https://libav.org/index.html).

If and when libav supports decoding your format, Handbrake will, too.
