Hello,
I'm using Handbrake since several years, but today I wanted to extract a specific part of a big video file which is 2 hours long. I wanted to extract for example the video and the sound which starts from 00:05:00 and ends to 00:07:00, so 2 minutes out of the 2 hours. (I don't need to keep what is before and what is after).
I would like to keep the same video and audio quality too.
Is it possible to manage it with handbrake or do I have to use another tool ? (There are no chapters in the original mkv file)
Thank you for your answer, and happy new year

Re: Extract specific time from a mkv file
Handbrake will transcode the segment that you want, if you use the start time/end time option.
If you don't want the segment altered, then I think you would want to use mkvtoolnix.
