Change hard coded file name from batch conversion

Post by belligerentHATE »

I recently converted a TV series from MKV to MP4, and while the conversion moved everything over correctly, the hard coded file name is the same for every file.

I can change the file name and directory location in Finder with no issue, but when I drop the file in iTunes or view it on my media player (Roku playing from my NAS) the file names are all the same as the initial file from the batch.

Example: "The Big Bang Theory S01E01 720p..." is the hard coded file name for every file, but I can change the name in Finder; however, that new name does not appear anywhere else.

How can I change this file name so it appears correctly streaming from my NAS to my Roku?

The "hard coded" name is called Metadata. Get an app like Subler or MetaZ to edit it
