mkv to m4v

Post by Pantiko »

Hi

I have a 12 Gb movie file with mkv extension. I want to convert it to m4v.

I have tried with the default settings, that is Constant Quality: 20. The result was a 2 Gb file with m4v extension.

Video quality was fine, but the sound was not synced with video.

Any ideas why this could be and how to solve it?

Thank you very much

I read it, and I searched the forums again, but can´t find any answer.

I´ve also checked this website, but couldn´t find it either:

https://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/HandBrakeGuide

Would you be so kind to point me out to the right direction?

Read it again, then post your activity log.

I'm glad you read the documentation; that puts you in the minority.

No, I think Carborundum was asking for you simply to post an activity log (and now you've read the documentation, you should know how!). Then we'll have some clues as to what the issue is and what might be causing it.

Ok, I´ll give I try, I know I´ve done it before, but can´t remember how it was done right now. I haven´t read that part though, since it wasn´t the issue I was looking for. I´ll go over it again as soon as I have a minute.

Still, english isn´t my native language, so certain things are hard for me to anderstand

If you read the documentation (red banner, first link, then mac instructions), then no. Just get the log and post it in code blocks:

Code: Select all
Place log here
