DVD with multi episodes

Post by jaticker »

I can copy a regular disk fine. Problem with a disk with many episodes. Say a tv show with 6 shows is on 1 disk, how do you copy all of the shows. I've tried to select chapters with no luck.
Thanks

Typically they will be in multiple titles. Use the title selection widget.

Chapters in this context refer to within a given title. Show episodes are usually in one title per episode. Each episode may or may not have chapters. You need to queue up each title corresponding to each episode and you will get one file per episode.

I can handle converting movies for iPhone but haven't been able to figure it out. I insert a TV show DVD with 3 episodes but all handbrake sees is the first episode, how do I do all 3 episodes at the same time? I need to convert for iPhone 3. Thanks.

I'm not seeing the list of episodes in the drop down, just the first episode?

i had the same question. it seems that you are recommending doing each episode separately. is there a feature that will automatically detect episodes and save them into separate files? this is a feature that Ripit has now. i would just prefer to do my compression with Handbrake since it has more flexibility on settings.

my question is the opposite:

All chapters, yes (HB does so automatically). All titles, no. You can to combine them either before or after encoding.

I know this discussion has been on the minds of many handbrake users for a few years now. I would be very interested to hear from a developer on their thoughts of the current software and use of batch processing. I understand this could cause problems using multiple sources of videos, but a DVD with multiple episodes, such as a TV series, all have the same ratios so I don't understand why this has not been developed as of yet.
