DVD does not complete after 100% encoded

Post by discless »

I recently purchased a documentary on DVD in NTSC format directly from the European producers.

I notice that the DVD was authored to contain only one chapter that is the full length of the program (85 minutes). I also notice that the post "Problem w/ decoding DVD w/ 1 60-min ch vs. 6 10-min chs." also has the same repeating line in its log as in my log below.

When I ran it through Handbrake, although it gets to 100% encoded, it never completes. I left Handbrake on overnight.

The next moring when I told Handbrake to stop and continue, the resulting file was only 6-1/2 minutes of the full 85, but was 3.8 Gigs large!

I use AppleTV preset with slow deinterlacing.

Here is the log:

Try the nightly (see the announcement at the top of every subforum).

If that doesn't change anything, go to Preferences > Advanced and uncheck "use dvdnav". Relaunch HandBrake for the change to take effect.

Your suggestion of uncheching "use dvdnav" worked! Thanks!
