I had some issues with the latest update w.r.t. the libogg version being too low however was able to resolve it by installing the Snow Leopard version of XCode, zapping my build directory, and rerunning configure and make again. I also installed the latest libogg from macports.
I don't know if all of that was actually necessary, but the build worked, so I'm not complaining.

I believe the only step that's necessary is updating Xcode to the latest release - that's all I needed to do during my transition to Snow Leopard.
