Fixing frame rate to 24 of use "Same as Source", for DVDs?

Post by 98bimmer »

I pretty much have all of my settings sorted out for my DVD encodes. I'm stuck on one thing though. Should I leave the frame rate as "Same as Source" or fix it to 24? Since I'll be using these with a 120Hz TV, I would assume that it would be better to fix the frame rate to 24... Thanks! :D

It depends on what the original source was. I would select to detelecine and decomb default and set to same as source. That way, if the DVD contains telecined frames, you'll go from 29.97 back to near the original 24fps.
