Encoding of Eyetv recording stuck

Post by hug0 »

I am recodring with eyetv hybrid on a mac mini.
Some of the recordings aren't completet by handbrake. They stop right after processing a few percent (e.g. 0,10%). The value is reproducable.
Handbrake version is 0.9.3
Preset is "Television"
Log is here: http://pastebin.com/m77ed1fe

Any ideas?

I see you're using the MKV container. Can you try using the MP4 container instead on one of your sources which don't complete when you use MKV? Does that change anything or do you still have the same problem?

MP4 with h.264 works. At least it passes the point of failure, didn't wait for the whole encoding ;)

So is that a known issue?

Yes there is a known issue with MKV stalling due to bad timestamps in the source video. I believe a fix has been checked into SVN in the last day or so.

latest svn (r2359) works. At least it will finish.
But now audio and video are some seconds out of sync.
I am using h264, mkv format and aac audio encoding.
Will post the log later, have it not handy. Is there a known problem in the trunk version?
