VIDEO / AUDIO SYNC ISSUE

Post by dstylze54 » Thu Apr 09, 2009 5:02 am

Converting video's when complete the video seems fine but the audio plays fast and out of sync. This just started happening with the latest update. I did not have this problem with the previous version of Handbrake. Please advise.......

there is something somehwre, (but dont remember of hand) on how to set up a script to slow down the audio,

but if it worked in the last version why not go back to that version?

no sense in using the *newest* version just for the sake of having the *newest* version if there is something broken in it?

This looks like the problem that was fixed by r2026 a while after 0.9.3 was released. You might try compiling from the current source or wait for the next binary release.

I dont understand what you are speaking about in regards to the r2026. I just again tried to update and this is the message: HandBrake 0.9.3/2008112300 is currently the newest version available. I would go back to the older version of Handbrake if I still had it. I do not know why the video/audio sync would change for the worse on a new version intentionally so it is either something I am doing wrong or some sort of setting that I dont understand. Is any one else experiencing a similar issue?

It's a bug that's been fixed in code written after 0.9.3 was released.

That means the fix will be in 0.9.4, or, you can download the source code from our SVN and compile it yourself (Which I don't really recommend unless you know what your doing)
