Description of problem or question:

Hi!
I have a new Macbook Pro (with chip m1 and big sur). When I try to installa HandBrake (also the beta version), it cannot install it on my mac. It works since I open the installer (DMG file) for the first time, and if I release the app in application folder It generates an alias and if I delete the installer the program can't run.

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):

1.3.3 and 1.4.0 beta

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Mac OS Big Sur 11.2.3 + Chip M1

HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)
CANNOT PROVIDE SINCE IT CAN'T INSTALL

Code: Select all

Please replace this text with the contents of your log file between the two code tags - OR - provide a pastebin URL in place of these 3 lines.
If you are unable to do so, please state why so we can help you.

There is no installer.

Like many mac apps, you simply drag the app bundle into your applications folder from the dmg it comes in. Don't run it from the dmg.
You don't want an alias/shortcut to the dmg. That won't work.
