Apple ProRes

Post by polo47110 »

It would be super to be able to use Apple ProRes HQ 1080 as source file.
We work in the post production business and we have to provide a lot of h264 files from ProRes. Compressor works verry well but it is not well optimised yet (waitting for snow leopard). On the latest mac pro 8 cores it is really obvious.
Thanks a lot,

Polo

Moved to Core Ponies; this is not a Mac GUI request.

Don't see this happening any time soon, I'm afraid.

Some discussion about work on it at the library Handbrake (and every other free video program) uses to decode video files: http://www.nabble.com/Apple-Pro-Res-sup ... 80566.html
