Please describe what you would like to see added to HandBrake:
When choosing the output format and bitrate, there is no information about the data of the current file, so if I select the highest possible bitrate for example for audio which is 640kb/s for AC3 but the input bitrate is just 128, I receive a file with a 640 stream. Could the program automatically choose the highest possible output bitrate according to the source file even if I select a higher one? The same happens to the video bitrate.
Why would you like to see this added:
Otherwise the results are much larger files containing not the supposed data and misleading metadata.
What version of HandBrake are you currently running:
HandBrake 1.0.0 (build 20161231130446)
What operating system and version are you currently running (e.g. OSX 10.11, Windows 7, Ubuntu 14):
