Automatic bulk merge Feature.

Post by ithelps »

Please describe what you would like to see added to HandBrake:

I want to merge videos automatically to one specified video. For example:

Video 1
Video 2 merge to Video 1
Video 3 merge to Video 1
Video 4 merge to Video 1
Video 5 merge to Video 1

I basically want to do this automatically, my current program can only do it 1 by 1 and it takes forever. I can't find a service or software that does this right now, so if Handbrake can do this, it would be great.

Basically specified which video wants to merge with all the videos in this specific folder, and all the videos in the folder merges with the video I want to be combined with.

Why would you like to see this added:

I need to use this feature for combing videos because doing it one by one takes forever.

What version of HandBrake are you currently running:

the latest version. 0.10.5

What operating system and version and you currently running (e.g. OSX 10.11, Windows 7, Ubuntu 14):

Windows 10

Search for "mkvtoolnix" on Google or whatever search engine you want.

The problem is that the author normally has you download from "fosshub", which was compromised months ago and still trips warnings from antivirus software. The work around is to go to the DOWNLOADS page, scroll down to the version for Windows, then find the link marked "All Windows builds for olders versions are available on my site."

In the "releases" directory, find the latest version (9.6.0 today).

mkvmerge can be used to append multiple MKV files together. The results are not guaranteed to be pretty, because combining files that have different audio and subtitle tracks is bad news in any case.
