Post by prezi »

Please describe what you would like to see added to HandBrake:
It would be great to have, besides encoding also copy of video stream without transcoding.
Why would you like to see this added:
It would be much faster and the usability of handbrake would increase.
What version of HandBrake are you currently running:
0.10.5
What operating system and version and you currently running (e.g. OSX 10.11, Windows 7, Ubuntu 14):

This has been rejected many times before. HandBrake is not designed to be a muxing tool.

But HB is already muxing tool. It allows to pass-through native dvd audio streams like ac3. All I ask is to do the same for video mpeg2 stream.

A car rolls on (usually) 4 wheels. That doesn't make it a suitable substitute for a dump truck.

You requested pass-through video:
It would be great to have, besides encoding also copy of video stream without transcoding.
Handbrake is a video encoder. And a simple search for "pass thru" on this forum will come up with dozens, if not hundreds, of hits saying that it is going to continue to be a video encoder, not a general-purpose MUXing tool.
