When finished, Play Sound please:)

I searched the board and found one sound request in 2013, GROWL was the answer, then I found GROWL has been cut from Handbrake.

Please describe what you would like to see added to HandBrake:
I would like the option to play a sound, or audio file of my selection, when finished. It would be nice if the sound would continue until a "cancel" button was clicked.

Why would you like to see this added:
A. I have a 42", power hungry, monitor and I like to keep it off until handbrake is completed.
B. It would be nice to hear that it is completed.
C. It would be nice if the sound continued until canceled in case I'm not within hearing distance.
D. It would be SUPER COOL if Handbrake would email or text me when completed.

I just started to use Growl as well, and I was really excited when I saw that Handbrake supported Growl (on the Growl for Windows apps page). However, I'm very disappointed that it is no longer supported in the current version.

Please bring Growl for Windows back.

Unfortunatly Growl for Windows is no longer maintained by it's author and there hasn't been an update in years. It was causing too many issues for users so it was removed.

Looking at the Growl site, it's easy to see why people think it is under current development... If you don't look at the "recent news", there are no dates on the site!

But the most recent entries in the news/blog section are over 5 years old.
