Re: encode preview -> show progress in taskbar
On a related note it would be good to have preview encodes write to an "activity log" in the same way as main encodes do. I often use preview encodes as a troubleshooting method.
Re: encode preview -> show progress in taskbar
Seems a little redundant, since all encode activity during preview generation is already written to the activity window/log. Individual encode logs for each preview would generate a lot of clutter.

Preview encoding doesn't appear in the activity window for me. I'm using the Windows GUI.TedJ wrote:Seems a little redundant, since all encode activity during preview generation is already written to the activity window/log.
Non-preview encoding does appear, in the "Encode log" tab, but preview encoding doesn't.
Am I looking in the wrong spot? I'm on a recent nightly - would that make a difference?
Re: encode preview -> show progress in taskbar
Preview encodes are not logged on windows currently. They may or may not be logged to disk though

It doesn't look like they are unfortunately.s55 wrote:Preview encodes are not logged on windows currently. They may or may not be logged to disk though
Re: encode preview -> show progress in taskbar
what about the original topic of this thread:
is somebody interested in implementing code to show the current percentage of the preview encode job in the taskbar of windows?
