Excellent piece of software! Love the fact that you are not messing up with obsolete technologies and "vintage" features.

As the post says could we humbly hope for a "pure" QT / KDE version?

None of the developers have any interest in QT. But I wouldn't turn it down if one landed on the doorstep.

I wish I could help....
I respect the coders' choice as I agree with the voices who say that the Gnome-KDE "war" is hurting Linux more than it helps. It drains coding power as they are split between the 2 camps and it clutters the resources as you have to duplicate libraries. And now we got "Unity to top them all...
I do prefer KDE though despite Gnome's popularity.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Cheers..

I don't what to give the impression that we are gtk fanboys or anything. The handbrake gtk ui was my first linux ui project and it's what I chose to learn.

HandBrake's coder team is pretty small. I'm the only really active linux developer and I have my hands full just maintaining the gtk gui and enhancing the core handbrake library that does all the really cool stuff.

We've had a couple of people who have offered to work on a QT GUI over the years, but they've rarely lasted more than a couple of months and have never been able to reach feature parity with any of the existing GUIs.
