[Invalid] automatic removal of "phantom" chapters
A lot of DVDs seem to feature a phantom chapter at the end of the feature which tend to last under 5 seconds and contain no information (audio or video). It's fairly annoying yo let one of these slip through and end up with a useless, unnamed chapter. Is there any chance Handbrake could get an option to remove these kinds of chapters automatically?
Re: automatic removal of "phantom" chapters
Seems unlikely. How could you programmatically determine which chapters are useless and which chapters are useful?
Re: automatic removal of "phantom" chapters
HandBrake already does something about it when the last chapter is less than 1 second, IIRC.
Re: automatic removal of "phantom" chapters
Yes it does. The dummy chapter is still present in the drop down lists and you should still select it (in case it's sitting on the fade to black) but no chapter marker will be generated in the output.
