hey- i have an AVI file and an SRT file- movie and subtitles
how to i convert into m4v with hard subs so i can watch it thru itunes on my ipad?
anyone know?

Currently, you cannot convert a SRT to hard subs that is compatible with Apple devices within Handbrake.

"Add external SRT" via the subtitles tab will give you softsubs on the iPad.

+1. Why would you want burned in hard subs when you can have nice soft subs ?
