would it be possible, to show in the preview window only the selected chapter-range.
The reason why I ask:
All of my music video DVDs have only one title, but each song is in one chapter. For each song the cropping area is different.

I'd like that too (sometimes), but it probably isn't feasible given how HandBrake generates previews (which is not based on duration but number of bytes between the previews, IIRC). Besides, there's currently no way to guarantee at least one preview image per chapter.
I guess what I'm saying is that implementing the feature you're asking for is harder than it may sound.

In HandBrake's preferences, under the "Advanced" tab, you can set how many picture previews it scans. Bump it up to 30 and you'll be able to see more per chapter.
