FYI,
I wrote a GUI to the Handbrake CLI that allows users to perform a mass conversion on an entire directory. You simply point the app to the source directory, tell it where you want the files to go, select the preset/filesize/extension, and the hit go. Works great. If anyone is interested, I've posted the latest version here:

I tried using this but it keeps crashing as soon as I begin processing.

Take out (x86) out of the directory path. That is for a 64bit machine.
