Hello all, I have a particular video with a small section of interlaced footage that is proving impossible for me to decomb without the jerky motion that looks like it's trying to do tff when it should be doing bff or something. The video overall is 99% 2:3 pulldown that easily converts to 23.976 fps without requiring inverse telecine or decomb, but there's just these occasional little bits of hard interlaced footage that are a real pain.

As I'm not familiar with how to set custom options with the decomb/deinterlace settings, I've thrown in the towel.

Could someone here take up the challenge and try to get it to decomb with the proper motion?

I'm supplying a 15 second clip of the raw MPEG2 video, along with a 15 second clip of what awfulness the default decomb settings produce.

Your input video contains no interlaced frames, no de-interlacer or inverse telecine filter can help.
I suspect a framerate filter or similar was used or an interlaced stream was badly edited, in any case, I don't think this can be easily improved.
