Alternatives for identify for Mac

Post by Ardalio »

Hi all,

I don't know if anybody else is using identify for Mac to add metadata and movie artwork to their finished movie files. In any case, identify is incompatible with mac os sierra and since identify is not developed anymore, i need a decent alternative. any suggestions?

But subler doesn't automatically grab metadata and artwork from online sources. I have to manually enter them, correct?
identify did that job for me and was really convenient..

I thought you could get data from themoviedb and thetvdb or something; not sure, it's been ages since I used Subler. I prefer letting Plex grab the metadata, it doesn't have to be in the file itself.

Subler DOES grab metadata.
File/ Import / Search Metadata Online
I use it weekly for my Apple TV conversions.

Normally multiple choices for artwork, too.
As Rodeo noted it connects to themoviedb or thetvdb depending on your need.
