I have the Blu-ray frozen. I am trying to make a backup on to a single layer Blu-ray disc. Problem is the m2ts container makes it difficult to make it fit without recoding. If i just "remux?" It into a matroska, it fits perfectly with around 2gb saving compared to m2ts. I've been aware of m2ts' large size for some time but this is the first time it's interfering. I'm guessing there's no such thing as an mkv Blu-ray, is there a way to reduce the size of an m2ts container?
