When makemkv doesnt work what do you use?
When makemkv doesnt work what do you use?
I have a few blu rays that just keep failing when extracting them with makemkv. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, but i need a blu ray ripper for mac i dont really care if its a full disc extraction or movie data into mkv container extraction, but it has be able to be read by handbrake. Thanks in advance for the help!

There is a BD ripper for OS X, but they only advertise by spamming forums, so I'm not sure how good it is.
Otherwise, with OS X, I think you're SOL if MakeMKV isn't working for you. I presume you have submitted logs at the MakeMKV forums.

You've tried both options (save title to mkv, full disc backup) with MakeMKV?

There's no better program than MakeMKV out there, even on the PC side of it. If it fails on the newest BD, then wait for future release. If it fails on older BD, chances are the discs have some surface imperfection. Try to reinstall the latest release.

I have the newest release, i had to update for insidious. The movie im having trouble with right now is 9, but there have been several others in the past. I have a windows 7 machine i could use, i just prefered to keep it all on the mac. Is there any BD software that works 100% of the time?

Maybe not 100% of the time, but AnyDVD HD can make things easy.
