[Solved]Linux Nightly Not Parsing UHD, Windows does

Post by Crono141 » Sat Mar 23, 2019 10:49 pm

Description of problem or question:
I just installed the linux nightly build (20190320220309-d305c97-master (x86_64)) and tried to scan an UHD folder path in linux. Received "No Titles Found" error message. Using the windows nightly (Nightly 20190309213014-3082b59-master (2019031001)) correctly parses the UHD folder.

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
  • Sudo apt-get install handbrake-gtk handbrake-cli
  • Run Handbrake from applications menu
  • Open source: UHD folder root
I attempted to compile latest libbluray (1.1.0) to correct this problem. Libbluray test applications (libblueray_test and list_titles) appear to work correctly on target folder in the problem linux system, but handbrake behavior is unchanged.

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
On Linux (where issue is) 20190320220309-d305c97-master (x86_64)
On Windows (where issue isn't) Nightly 20190309213014-3082b59-master (2019031001)

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Ubuntu 18.04
Windows 10

What if you scan the same folder on Linux, instead of the BDMV subfolder?

I have done both. No luck with either.

And now I'm not getting BR folder support either, for regular blue ray rips. Here's another set of logs:

Windows

Code: Select all

[19:28:26] scan: BD has 17 title(s)
[19:28:26] bd: scanning title 1
[19:28:26] bd: playlist 00003.MPLS
[19:28:26] bd: duration is 00:00:05 (5005 ms)
[19:28:26] bd: ignoring title (too short)
Linux:

Code: Select all

[19:45:12] CPU:

I wonder if I have some dependency broken on linux.

Wait. I see the issue. Interface misunderstanding. I was navigating to the root of the folder I wanted scanned, instead of the folder above it and selecting that folder before hitting open. This is slightly different behavior than what the windows version does (where you navigate into the folder you want scanned), so this is the source of the problem.

It looks like its working now. Thanks for pointing that out.

TLDR:Operator Error

That's why we like the logs so much.
