Handbrake from official Ubuntu 18.04 distro vs Stebbins PPA

Post by mrjayviper » Sat Apr 07, 2018 2:07 pm

So I was trying Ubuntu 18.04 and installed handbrake as it's one app I use often. The package is avaiable in the official 18.04 repo.

I have also used Stebbins' version on 16.04.

I noticed that on 18.04, the embedded subtitles on the MKV file does not show. While it's all working on Stebbins' version.

Is this a difference in compile options? Or perhaps I can install addition package on 18.04 to get it to work?

Thanks
