I try the 1.0.3 french version under Ubuntu 16.10 and Mint 18.1.

Windows has a flip option under the filters tab but my Mint version does not.

The Linux GUI does not have this option. You'll have to use the CLI on Linux if you really need to flip (i.e. mirror) videos. I didn't add this filter option because mirroring the image is a less often needed option than rotation and I'm stingy about adding more widgets to the GUI.
