Problem with installation of HANDBRAKE 0.10.5

Post by abyss1200 »

Hi Guys :0

I want to install version 0.10.5 of HANDBRAKE but I don't know how.

I tried this method :

Code: Select all

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:stebbins/handbrake-releases
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install handbrake=0.10.5-zhb-1ppa1~wily1
But I got an error that the version does not exist

I also tried this method :

Code: Select all

Download .deb file from Launchpad -> Handbrake 0.10.5 (Ubuntu 64bit)
    Copy the .deb file to /var/cache/apt/archives folder
    Run sudo apt-get install handbrake=0.10.5
But I got the same error as the error above

Can you help me please ?

I'm using Ubuntu server 14.04 LTS with xfce

Is there a reason you're installing the old version, rather than the current?

There's very little interest in an almost year-old release.

What is your issue that prevents you from using 1.0.2?

No legitimate site would require a specific version of HandBrake. That's utter nonsense.

Sorry, but your trying to use an unsupported build, so your on your own I'm afraid.
