HB and BD's ripped by MakeMKV

Post by RonJohn »

Please detail your question or problem in as much detail as possible:

I've backed up a BD using MakeMKV with the decrypt option, and now want to use HandBrake to rip the titles just like I do with DVDs. However, none of the folders I've pointed it at "see" the titles.

Tell us about your environment. What version of HandBrake? What version of Linux / Unix are you running. etc.

$ HandBrakeCLI --version
[20:36:13] hb_init: starting libhb thread
[20:36:13] thread 7f918c00f700 started ("libhb")
HandBrake 20151227221722-1e56395-master

Xubuntu 14.04 x64

MakeMKV 1.9.8

libaacs0 0.7.1 from the mc3man/trusty-media ppa.

If there was any exception or error displayed, please copy it and paste it here:

N/A

Please include the scan or encode log:

N/A

Code: Select all

Paste a log of the scan or encode between these code brackets, or use a pastebin website and provide us with the URL it gives you.
Logs are required for all support requests.
This is what I get when I point it at the "top folder". Is MakeMKV generating corrupted bdmv files?

You want to open the folder above BDMV, IIRC (here, LOTR:_FOTR). If that still doesn't work, try renaming said folder to something without a semicolon, maybe it'll help.

Should I file a bug and upload the two bdmv files?

Are you selecting the BDMV folder?
