HandBrake-0.9.6 on centos 5.8

Post by frenzen »

I 've been trying to install Handbrake on centos 5.8 with the help of http://www.techienote.com/2010/05/insta ... ora13.html http://linux2biz.net/blog/00115-buildin ... rhel5.html http://saylinux.net/story/009548/buildi ... entosrhel5. I'm running x86_64, and whenever I try to install packages necessary to build the binary, the arch ends up i386:

Code: Select all

Total size: 19 M
Is this ok [y/N]: y
Downloading Packages:
Running rpm_check_debug
Running Transaction Test
Finished Transaction Test

Transaction Check Error:
file /usr/bin/libtool from install of libtool-1.5.22-7.el5_4.i386 conflicts with file from package libtool-1.5.22-7.el5_4.x86_64

Error Summary
I've already downloaded HandBrake-0.9.6.tar.bz2 and untared it. The whole log is available http://pastie.org/private/a6jyac1k4v2vnzevfioo8q
