Segfault Ubuntu 9.10 32 bit PAE with 720p

Post by shesmer »

Hi guys,

I am using handbrake 0.9.4 on Ubuntu 9.10 32-bit PAE kernel (2.6.32-7-generic-pae) and get a segmentation fault on some 720p movies. I used to convert a couple of hundred DVDs and other DVD quality movies without problem.

Only recently I started converting a few HD TV MPEG2TS stream and got a segmentation fault on 90% of those kind of movies.

I also upgraded to the latest SVN revision and compiled the CLI from source. Please see the result attached below.

Code: Select all

/opt/HandBrake-source$ /opt/HandBrake-source/build/HandBrakeCLI -i /raid/array07/mm/Movies/MyMovie.ts -t 0 -v 3

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Stephan

P.S. Those files play just nice on my PS3, but I want to convert them to Apple TV format

Not for nothing, but why did you try to masquerade the input filename? If it's your own Blu-Ray rip, then I can't imagine why you'd bother to try to alter the log, and if it's not (which seems much more likely), you clearly know we won't offer support, otherwise you wouldn't have taken steps to obfusticate it.

Hey Rodney,

not sure why I need to justify such a trifle, but the reason is simply that I did not copy paste the command line but entered it manually. And no, it is no Blu-Ray Rip but a TV recording.

Because we have a zero-tolerance anti-piracy rule, which you're aware of because you read them when you signed up for an account here?

As per the path in question...
path=/raid/array07/mm/Movies/RIP/set5/TheBourneSupremacy.ts
But I won't argue the point any further. If someone wants to take a swing at this, feel free.
