So, I've got MP4 video files made by my PC TV tuner (BlazeDTV 6.0) when I record programs.
The files can be large. 650MB for files that run for about a 1/2 an hour or so of viewing time.
So I want to shrink them a bit to save space on the hard drives. When I do "shrink" them with HandBrake (1.0.7 64bit, Very Fast 480p30) it works fine on most files making 650MB files into 190MB files.
BUT HandBrake has some issues with some files (large or small).
The files play in VLC and MPC without a problem.
But....
When Handbrake is encoding and it has an issue with one of these "error" files (remember they play fine in VLC and MPC), HandBrake locks up.
The progress bar, %, FPS, Avg FPS (go to 000.0) and Time Remaining (goes to -01:01:01) freeze.
The only thing that keeps going is the Elapsed Time (Just keeps counting up)
So, if I press the STOP button it says Queue Finished. But I can't delete the "bad" unfinished file that was being written because HandBrake still owns it.
And if I try to do it again by loading the original file and hitting the Start Encoding button, HandBrake crashes and closes.
Is there a way to get HandBrake to skip a file it has problems with so that it can continue with the next file in the Queue?
