The title says it all.
HandBrake crashes when opening a file downloaded from the net using Flash Video Downloader, a Chrome extension.
To cause the error, just click File Open and select the file. Next thing you will see is the message "Handbrake has stopped working".
There is no error code or BSOD.
What are the steps to reproduce this problem:
Just click on File Open and select the file.
They are .MP4, I do not believe that Chrome extension save files in other format.
What version of HandBrake you are running:
HB version 1.0.3
What operating system and version and you running (e.g. OSX 10.11, Windows 7, Ubuntu 14):
Windows 7 Professional, SP1 - fully updated

Where did you download HandBrake from? handbrake.fr or somewhere else?
