subtitle defaults changes do not save

Please describe the problem in as much detail as possible:
Changing the subtitle defaults does not save after closing the program.
What are the steps to reproduce this problem:
1.Open HandBrake and load a video file.
2. go to subtitle tab and click configure defaults.
3. make any change to defaults.
4. hit save and exit HandBrake
5. reopen Handbrake
6. subtitle defaults will have reset.
What version of HandBrake you are running:
1.0.2
What operating system and version and you running (e.g. OSX 10.11, Windows 7, Ubuntu 14):
