[Invalid] Handbrake showing under "Devices" instead of being in Application Folder

I have had to download Handbrake over five times already on my Mac, because it disappears. Initially, it appears under "Devices" rather than "Applications." I drag the application icon to my menu bar so that I can find it in the future. Then, a few days later, it is nowhere to be found. Does anyone know what is causing this problem and how to fix it?

You have to drag the HandBrake icon to your Applications folder, and then drag it into the Dock if you want it there.
