The first show is OK. The second show shows CC using VLC and ccextract, but not using Handbrake CC burn in. I record 2 minutes of the show before the one I want because the start time can vary do to my PC clock drifting.

HB doesn't handle TS errors very well... try running through VideoReDo's quickstream fix first.

I don't own VideoRedo. If it is a ts problem don't fix it, then.

There was rerun just now. I recorded in the middle of the show "Dig". No subtitle burned so the switching shows was a read herring. It is just a bad show.

The scans look similar except:
Bad show
[23:24:02] file is MPEG Transport Stream with 188 byte packets offset 180 bytes
2minutes good show followed by bad show
[23:36:31] file is MPEG Transport Stream with 188 byte packets offset 0 bytes

The second episode of "Dig" works great. Might have something to do with the Hebrew to English at the beginning of episode one.

So I am happy and please ignore this thread.

I wanted to provide logs for the latest SVN, but I downloaded the 32 bit by mistake. I downloaded the 64 bit GUI and it acts the same, but it breaks my batch file with a missing CLI. I hope my old CLI command works because the GUI no longer outputs the CLI command line in the log, I guess.
