AC3 from DTS not correct Builds 4582 thru 4686 maybe more

I have had a lot of encodes now from .mkv's via MakeMKV, that for sure in Builds 4582 thru 4686, the audio conversion to AC3 is not correct but the AAC mixdown is fine. I found this after installing a new Denon AVR-1713 receiver today, previously I just ran my systems in Stereo. On the ATV I can hear the difference by turning the Dolby on and off, and I get the same via VLC on my Win7 machine with the same files.

Thing is its not all files, I thought it was just DTS conversions, but then I found a couple that the orginal files look the same DTS encodes, one plays fine in AC3 the other doesn't. Maybe I'm missing something.

The audio sounds flat and thin, seems like the Left and Right Audio is missing.

Wow, 6-channel at 192 kbps... that would have sounded like liquid ass even with a top tier AC3 encoder.

LOL yes it did!

I see the problem now, the bitrate was way too low. But I wasn't changing anything from the default preset settings, so I guess this was a small bug that's now been fixed? Would that be correct.

I just took a look at Build 4696, I have 'High Profile' as my main preset. If I load in a video file the AC3 mix down loads up a bitrate of 160. It only changes to 640 if I load the video file, then reselect the 'High Profile' preset and then click on the AC3 line in Handbrake.

This happens in the old style looking Handbrake (I use this as the new one doesn't work too well on my Projector at 720p), in the new style its doesn't show anything.
