[Invalid] Some VC-1 formats are "Unsupported"

Post by peter_h »

A number of my BluRays - particularly BBC nature films - are encoded using VC-1, and HB rejects them with an "unsupported format" dialog.

Does HB not support all VC-1 files?

Here's the MediaInfo on one that HB rejected:

Interlaced VC1 is not supported. This isn't a bug.

OK - thanks, that explains it.

Is there a HB alternative program you can recommend for encoding VC-1 interlaced content? :)

Partial interlaced VC1 support was added to libav recently. Could someone that has interlaced VC1 content could test it with the latest nightly build. It would be nice to find out if any of these discs can be decoded now.

*bump*
Since it's a crash it seems important to me. Am I mistaken? ;)
