Crashing on reading input file

Post by steinmb »

Hi
I have video created in Quicktime Pro or to be more specific a slideshow, I imported jpeg and a AAC encoded sound to to and saved the file as a quicktime container. Need to trancode this so I opened this in Handbrake, but it crashes on me every time. I was able to transcode the file by using ffmpegX.

Computer:
  • Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    System Version: Mac OS X 10.5.6 (9G55)
    Kernel Version: Darwin 9.6.0
Input file. Created in Quicktime pro Version 7.6 (472):
  • Stream 0:
    Codec jpeg
    3884x2600
    Framrate 0.333333

    Stream 1:
    Codec mp4a (aac)
    2 channels/stereo
    Sample rate 44100 hz
    16 bit
Output from Handbrake during opening the file:
  • [13:04:27] macgui: Handbrake Version: 0.9.3 (2008112300)
    [13:04:27] hb_init: checking cpu count
    [13:04:27] hb_init: starting libhb thread
    [13:04:27] hb_init: checking cpu count
    [13:04:27] hb_init: starting libhb thread
[13:04:36] macgui: trying to open video_ts folder (parent directory chosen)
    [13:04:36] hb_scan: path=/Users/steinmb/Downloads/Vandring til UiB/Orginal-format.mov, title_index=0
[13:04:36] scan: trying to open with libdvdread
    [13:04:36] dvd: not a dvd - trying as a stream/file instead
    Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from '/Users/steinmb/Downloads/Vandring til UiB/Orginal-format.mov':
    Duration: 00:05:57.91, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 10047 kb/s

Stream #0.1(^?^?^?): Audio: aac, 44100 Hz, stereo, s16
[13:04:36] scan: decoding previews for title 1
And then Handbrake crash with a:
  • Process: HandBrake [30180]
    Path: /Applications/HandBrake.app/Contents/MacOS/HandBrake
    Identifier: org.m0k.handbrake
    Version: 0.9.3 (2008112300)

    Parent Process: launchd [143]

    OS Version: Mac OS X 10.5.6 (9G55)
    Report Version: 6

    Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
    Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000038

I hope this can help you make Hadbrake an even better, stronger, faster application ;)

Best regards
