installing on windows xp

Post by ubuubu »

Hello from France !

I have just tested Handbrake on my Mac and it works perfectly.
Sometimes I work on a PC with Windows XP, to make some private films with Adobe Premiere.
Unfortunaltely, it was impossible to install Handbrake. The error message is always : Handbrake can not be installed on systems with .NET Framework version smaller than 2.0.
What does it mean ?

Second question : what are the differences between the two versions of HB for windows ?

Thanks a lot for answering as soon as possible.

1. Read the FAQ, infact, when in doubt the good ol saying RTFM applies.

2.

Handbrake CLI = Command Line Inteterface.
Handbrake GUI = Graphical User Interface.

The GUI is just a nice interface to the command line version.
