The mac version is an all in one tool, but with windows I am trying to rip some DVD's that I OWN, and they are showing as copy protected.... I used to use dvd42 but I can't seem to find it for windows? What are people using to rip dvd's or how can we get handbrake to do so... and why would the devs approve defeating on the mac version but not windows?
Thanks for the help.
why does the windows version not handle macrovision?

Re: why does the windows version not handle macrovision?
HandBrake has never handled copy protection other than simple css. Never will. in fact, the upcoming version no longer supports even the simple css protection.
the library which allows handbrake on the mac to remove this protection does not compile properly under windows, so it couldn't be included.

I'm going on vacation when .9.3 comes out and people find this out the hard way...
