I have a lot of DVD and some BD TV shows. Some tools I have do not work with widescreen DVD properly.
TV shows tend to have a lot of VOB files in the VIDEO_TS folder to consider. I see the DVD as title_1 etc.
So I was wondering if there was a tool to look over the DVD before calling Handbrake to transcode one or more VOB files
I do not know if Handbrake needs the DVD decrypted in advance or not?

Re: tv shows
Rip with something like MakeMKV and the VOBs and m2ts files will be assembled for you, and you can have handbrake process the MKV files.
Handbrake does NOT remove encryption.

I prefer MP4 containers
I cans easily removed CSS etc

Re: tv shows
What you choose as the container comes after the ripping. MakeMKV does not generate MP4 files, but you were asking about handbrake transcoding the file anyway. MakeMKV and similar programs do a bit more than just "remove CSS" (or AACS in the case of Bluray).
But, whatever.
