There is no "Export SRT" feature in HandBrake, only "Import SRT".

As mentioned, there is no export function. If the source file has SRT subtitles included in it, there are a number of tools that can separate that track out, depending on the source file type.

Video sourced from commercial disks, such as DVD and Bluray, will not normally have text-based subtitles in them. They will use the "native" subtitle format, either VOBSUB or PGS, which are images, not text. Converting those to a text-based format like SRT takes different tools, which can recognize the characters and write a (hopefully correct) SRT file.

I have some MP4 TV series, they have closed captions, open them with mkvtoolnix, there is no subtitle track in them, so they can't be extracted. Many software found on the Internet can't extract CC subtitles. With handbrake software, you can see the track name of closed captions [cc608], which can't be exported. You can only extract subtitles by converting MKV and then using mkvtoolnix, which is too time-consuming [ffmpeg and ccextractor GUI tried are not good]. Can the enthusiastic netizens of the team recommend the software that can be used to extract closed captions subtitles? Or add subtitle export function in the next software version, thank you.

Not liking the GUI of the tool many OTHER packages use for extracting Closed Captions isn't really justification for asking to have that functionality added to an unrelated project. Most people simply use the command line, which is explained here: https://www.ccextractor.org/public:gene ... line_usage

You do not need another tool to split out the CCs, since it can read directly from your MP4 files.

因为原CC字幕是英文 ,提取出来翻译成中文,做成中文字幕。

Because the original CC subtitles are in English, they are extracted and translated into Chinese to make Chinese subtitles.
