Nvidia NVENC-Encoder greyed out on GTX 1060 6GB

Post by petergriffen »

Description of problem or question:

Hello,
I want to enable the NVENC-Encoder on my installation of Handbreak, but its greyed out even though I have a supported card and my drivers are updated.
My system specs:
i7 7700
16GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
Windows 10 64bit 2004

How I can fix this? I already tried updating Nvidia drivers, rebooting my system, reinstalling handbreak, but nothing seems to work and it's still greyed out.

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):

stable 1.3.3 for Windows 10 x64

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Windows 10 64-bit Version 2004

HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)

Code: Select all

I don't have a log file as I just can't select NVENC-Encoder.
