.Net Framework issue

Handbrake says it needs .net framework 4.7.1 or higher to run.
When I try to install .net framework 4.8 it tells me it will not work with windows 10. Description of problem or question:




Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):




HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):

Handbrake 1.3.3


Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Windows 10


HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)

Code: Select all

Windows 10 April 2018 (1803) already includes the required framework versions. If your system is reporting is as not there, you've probably got some corrupted system files and or registry

If the runtime from https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/d ... work/net48 doesn't install, you'll have to seeks support from microsoft.

@s55 beat me to it.
Windows 10 comes with .NET Framework pre-installed.
May need to follow Microsoft's troubleshooting procedures.

When I try to install .net 4.8, which is not currently on my windows 10 manchine, it says 4.8 not supported on this operating systems.

It very much is supported. It's literally been part of the operating system for a few years now.

If the link I provided above isn't working to re-install, then as I say, it must be a corruption or other problem on the machine and that's not something we can help you with.

Is it a Windows 32-bit or 64-bit installation?
